YASL Presents... "Kid APProved: The Best Apps for Young People"
On February 8, 2014, YASL gave a panel presentation at Quasi-Con, the annual unconference hosted by the ALA student chapter at UMSI. Five YASL members discussed the best mobile apps for children and teens, then invited attendees to try out the apps on various mobile devices. We aligned our criteria with developmental and learning standards, and designated three top apps each for a range of age groups.
Best Apps shortlistSo many apps, so little time. The following apps were all strongly considered for inclusion in our presentation. Apps listed in bold made the cut. Please note that the age ranges listed are approximate, and that many of these apps are available on multiple platforms.
